Based in Glencoe, Red Squirrel Campsite is nestled amongst the Highland peaks making it a perfect base for walkers.

Based in Glencoe, Red Squirrel Campsite is nestled amongst the Highland peaks making it a perfect base for walkers.

The site has been used as a camping ground for over one hundred years, reflecting the rich history of the area. Alongside the spectacular scenery the area was the site of the bloody battle between the MacDonald and Campbell clan on 13th February 1692.

The site has no official pitches but that’s part of the charm. You’re free to choose a pitch and build a campsite after a hard days walking in the hills. Any aches from your daytime activties can be quelled with a few wee drams of Whisky from the famous Clachaig Inn.
