Based in the pleasingly named hamlet of Stragglethorpe in the Vale of Belvoir (pictured) Thorntons Holt is a few miles south east of Nottingham. A family camping park, the site accommodates both caravan and tents as well as an indoor heated swimming pool and large children’s play area.
Based on a ‘farm-type atmosphere’, the site is home to free ranging hens, ducks and guinea fowl, as well as horses Eric and Spike, border terrier Pickle and the site’s three cats, guarders of the reception.
