At christmas camping isn’t usually on our minds but if you need to buy a gift for the camping enthusiast in your life we’ve compiled a list of camping presents that will have them counting down the days ’till the season starts.
Lego Volkswagen T1 Camper Van
Tents for presents are great but your camper won’t be able to use it for a few months so you might want to give them something to play with on Christmas morning. The Lego Volkswagen T1 Camper Van recreates the iconic camper van in 1332 Lego pieces.
The T1 Camper Van will have them dreaming of the camping season to come, alternatively you could gift them the VW Camper Van Tent.
Vango Airbeam
The Vango Airbeam is the tent to buy if you want to make your camping geek drool. Vango’s innovative new Air Beam system makes pitching the tent a cinch as you simple inflate the beam saving the hassle of polls.
Pitching tents must rank as one of the least cool camping activities, quite literally as you get flustered over the pile of grey and black polls that make up modern tents. Vango’s boast that the tent can be pitched in minutes gives you time to invest in some more befitting activities like a G&T.
Trangia 27 Non-Stick Cookset
If you want to cook in style the Trangia Cookset is both practical and light.
It’s almost the Macbook Air of the cooking world, strong and light yet often better than it’s full size rivals. The stormproof spirit burner comes with a frying pan, two 1saucepans, a burner, windshields, a pan grip and a strap.
Fozzils Folding Bowls

A perfect stocking filler. The folding, bright, fun Fozzils set will provide enough crockery for a complete banquet whilst weighing less than even the lightest camping plates.
Outwell Martinique
Some people take the kitchen sink camping, now it’s time to bring the wardrobe. If you’re serious about looking the part on the campsite the Outwell Martinique is a folding wardrobe that will allow you to stay organised and your clothes properly stored.
It might seem overkill but if you’re on a long camping trip, preferably somewhere glamorous (South of France, darling?) it might be worth the investment.
MusucBag
Hipster fashion has come to camping with the MusucBag. It solves the age old problem of should one stay in the sleeping bag or get out. Sitting around the campfire will be a whole lot cosier in the Musuc in fact we can see ourselves lounging around the house in one of these.
Ajungulak Air Pillow
The inflatable Ajungulak Air Pillow is the perfect stocking filler (i.e. it’ll fit)
It’s ergonomic design will provide extra comfort when sleeping and it’s screaming yellow colour will scare away any bears.
Pangean Glider Cayenne Deck Chair
Sometimes modern lightweight, folding, ergonomic camping chairs just can’t stand up to the classics and with the retro revival of all things British the Pangean Glider Cayenne Deck Chair would make a memorable gift. The deckchair is made of sustainable hardwood yet weighs only 5.9kgs.
This striking seat is available in a range of colours and will be at home on the campsite as well as the garden or beach.
Gelert Double Sleeping bag
The cocoa Gelert Double Sleeping bag is designed for two so if you want to give your camper some *ahem* camping fun to look forward to this is the gift for you.
The Bobble Bottle
The Bobble Bottle is quite simply the coolest looking plastic bottle we’ve ever seen. It’s built in filter will keep your water clean and it’s funky top will help you be seen (that rhymes!).
Camping Cookbook
Campsite cooking has grown up, badly cooked sausages and beans heated in the can are moving aside for a Chicken Tagine with Pinenuts and Raisins.
The Camping Cookbook explains all, setting out delicious recipies that can be whipped up with the most basic of outdoor equipment.
The book even has a wipe clean cover for al fresco accidents.
Travel Cocktail Bar Set
We’ve all heard of glamping, inspiring us to upgrade our camping trips with some better bedding, proper wine glasses and maybe even a Yurt.
But the Travel Cocktail Bar Set takes this to a new level of sophistication.
The set includes a cocktail shaker, mixing stick, measuring cup, strainer, ice bucket and tongs. All presented in a chic, lockable carrying box.
You may get some strange looks whipping this out around the camp fire but onces your fellow campers taste their first rural martini you’ll be the toast of the campsite.
Giant Wooden Dominoes
Another gift that fits in with the retro revival, this set of Giant Wooden Dominoes turns grandma’s favourite game into something the whole family can get involved with.
You’re unlikely to misplace them too.
